Today i was the scribe. Alexa wasn't here today to contribute to our discussion and I forgot to do the questions over break, so todays conversation was rather limited. Mike asked the question, "Doesn't Christopher realize that he can complete his A level maths at another time?" I responded to this by saying that, Christopher was upset because he would have to had wait until next year if he didn't take it then, and Christopher was ready to take it as soon as possible. Mike also asked the question, " Will Mr. Shears and Christopher's mother stay with Christopher on his journey home?" I responded to this by saying that we found out that his mother traveled home with him and Mr. Shears later on dumped her.

Today Alexa was the scribe.
I posed the question, "why does christopher hold the swiss army knife if he knows that he will get arrested if he is seen pulling it out on someone?" As a group we expanded on this and said, Christopher would only be using it if he felt threatened and it was out of selfdefense, which he knows is legal. We are coming up on the end of the book and I think i can speak for my whole group when i say it is getting more and more interesting each page.

Today i was the scribe.
Mike posed the question, " Why would Christopher's dads tell him his pin number to his cash card, especially if he knows that christopher will eventually find out that his mother is alive, and try to run away?" Alexa and i responded by saying, that his dad probably didn't expect for Christopher to remember his pin number after all those years, and also didn't expect him to use it after he ran away. Mike also asked the question, "Why did the policeman not stop christopher from getting on the train alone?" As a group we said that perhaps the officer interpreted the trip for him to go to london as a well-discussed family plan, that he would be going to live with his mother, and not run away.

Today, mike was the scribe.
Today I asked the question, "why would Christopher's dad hide all the letters from him that his mom wrote, and resort to telling Chris something as drastic as his mom is dead?" Mike predicted that Mr. Boone might do that because he was angry that his wife left him and didn't want his son to have any contact with her. Alexa and I agreed with this. I think i can speek for everyone when I say I cant wait to keep reading.

Today, Alexa wasn't here ad she was the scribe. So mike and I had a stimulating conversation about the curious incident of the dog in the nighttime amongst each other.
Mike posed the question, "why does Mrs. Alexander want christopher to not tell his father that he knows the truth?" We discussed if Mrs. Alexander was hiding something.
I asked the question "Why was christopher basically unaffected by the 'death' of his mother?" Mike said that its an autistic trait is to say your emotions rather then display them.

Today i was the scribe.
Alexa raised the question that christopher is still alive because Mrs. Alexander did nit know she died when he told her. I predicted that on page 53 when it says "but father says Mrs. Shears isn't a friend of ours anymore" he is implying that she is more then a friend. We all think Christopher's mom is still alive and just divorced Christopher's dad.

Curious incident 2
This was our second "d" day meeting. After reading about thirty pages and discussing, I raised the question that if that Mrs. Shears killed the dog, Wellington, and that Mr. Boone and Mrs. Shears are having an affair. The reason Mrs. Shears killed the dog was to frame Christopher so that he wouldn't bother there relationship. Although my prediction might be way off because I've only read so far.

First post
Today everyone received the book that was assigned to them. I got my first choice book, the curious incident of the dog in the night-time.We decided that it would work out pretty evenly if we read around thirty pages per every time we met. Although we assigned a little more reading over the break since we will have more time. Mike suggested that our group go on a rotating schedule of who should be the designated scribe. Alexa volunteered to go first and mike volunteered second which left me to go third. In the end of class we got each others emails and the shortened class was over.
